We accept students with diagnosed learning disabilities, have complex learning profiles, have average to above average intelligence and can regulate their behavior in a small, therapeutic, classroom setting. We do not accept students with conduct disorders, actively using substances, or display explosive behaviors.
Portrait of a Graduate
WDS prepares students to conduct their lives mindfully, ethically, and wisely. We nurture creative and resilient problem solvers who are encouraged and supported to be collaborative and cooperative.
WDS graduates strive for independence and smooth self-regulation yet seek help and support when needed. Our graduates are ready to embark on college or vocational training. By virtue of their empathy and curiosity, they are good citizens and lifelong learners.
