The WDS Student

Westport Day School welcomes creative, thoughtful students in grades 5 through 12+ who thrive in a specialized, supportive environment. Our program is intentionally designed for bright, internalizing learners navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, or mood disorders, as well as those managing executive function demands, social communication skills, academic stamina, or chronic absenteeism. By addressing work avoidance, skill deficits, and credit retrieval needs through individualized academic and therapeutic support, we help students rebuild confidence, re-engage in learning, and rediscover their potential.

To maintain a therapeutic atmosphere tailored specifically to internalizing profiles, Westport Day School is not equipped to serve students with primary conduct disorders, oppositional defiant behavior, or significant verbal or physical disruptiveness.
